Does a 2002 rear end froma yukon xl fit a 2003 silverado

so its just best for me to take the gears out of the rear end instead since it has 3.73 gears

The 1500 SUV's have a 5 link trailing arm setup.

The gear set will work though.

so it will work if i just take the gears out the diff for the 2002 yukon xl and install them into my 2003 1500 diff ?? Thanks a lot for the info helped a bunch
Also will the drive shaft be the same Or bigger? if i wanted to use that also
