New guy from Georgia

Howdy y'all. Name is Kevin but a lot of people call me "Big Deddie" (yes, it's a Southern version of Big Daddy). I am all about anything that is not stock. I have a few projects that I am currently working on and will be asking a lot of questions.

Project #1 is my daily driver - 05 Ford F250 FX4 with the $ix.0 diesel engine. Since this is my daily, I will not be going too crazy with this one. It will mainly be maintenance related and planning for longevity.

Project #2 will be the one of main interest - 99 Chevy S-10. This truck has been lowered 4-6 and has 18" charcoal 5 starts on it (truck is black). Right now, it has the 2.2L engine BUT.....I have an 07 4.8L sitting in the garage that will be making its way in to its new home (the S10) in the coming months. I don't know a whole lot about any of the LS motors but I know i should be able to get 500-600 hp out of it relatively easily and budget friendly as well. The performance side is where I will spend most of my time for now. I also plan on back-halving the truck with coil-overs.

Project #3 and #4 - 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has already been lifted 4.5" and an 87 Jeep Comanche that will be cradled and 4-linked front and rear.

Welcome. What part of GA are you from?

The S10 project sounds like a dream project I had planned for my Blazer years ago. To get 500+ HP from a 4.8 you'll need to boost it. Either way, it's a drop in 300hp, which is monumental compared to the 2.slow.
