New guy from Florida
 

Long time lurker but I finally decided to join as I'm now having to build a motor since I got water in the #6 cylinder on my 2004 Silverado SS. Picked up another LQ4 and my plan is for a 408 stroker that will eventually get boosted, been looking at Huron Speed kit.


Anyways, ive decided to go with Summits ProLs line and have picked up their 20 cc dished pistons and forged rods, hoping to order their crank in the next couple weeks and get the block taken to the machine shop. Should put be around 9.5:1 compression Parts are rated for 1200hp and truthfully I'd be happy with around 650 to 800 for daily driving and maybe be able to turn the boost up for fun times. The motor came with 317 heads that I plan on getting worked over by the machine shop as well unless anyone has better suggestions.


Truck will mainly be used on the street and hopefully I can get to the track. I just want a fun and reliable truck that's streetable.
