Hey Guys, My name is Dan. My truck is a 99 GMC Sierra ECSB.

I've had it for a couple years as a daily driver, its got a pretty stock 4.8 (intake/exhaust/tune)

I blew the stock 4l60 a couple weeks ago and have A FLT level 7 4l60 built and in the mail as well as a Circle D 365mm 3 disc converter on the way.

the plan is to run the stock motor with these components until I swap the motor.

overall plan is a dependable DD, with good power for pulling my boat yet my wife can still hop in and drive.

motor wise what im shooting for is a 6.0 with a maggie running 6-8 lbs of boost. no meth and no spray.

I have a 2006 lq9 out of an escalade that i will probabally use, my brother has an lq4 and im trying to decide weather the lower compression will be better for boost ? i know it will be in high boost applications but im not sure about my situation. I know Trever1t is running the lq9 and my setup will be following that closely as a guideline.

the lq9 i have is out of a insurance recovery vehicle and it only has 20644km on it or about 12000 miles, so its fairly fresh.

i was thinking:
LPE GT2/3 cam
918 springs from comp
what pushrods ?
ARH 1 7/8 headers
and im not sure who for the tuning

as for the charger im still looking into that, im thinking a tvs1900 from maggie
ideally i would like run mid 12's in my truck not having to launch it like john force each and every time.

timeline: for the trans and converter will be sometime next week, expect a thread or some advice as ive never pulled a trans in a truck before esp off of the ground haha

Motor/Charger: im still trying to decide weather to run the 6.0 N/A for a bit, I think with that cam i could get away with it til i have enough cash saved for the Magnacharger.

anyways, look forward to some good discussions with some of you and cant wait to make this bitch a good bit faster

Late Night Miss-quote haha, correct I do beleive Trever1t is running a 5.3. I meant to say that i will be running a 6.0 but with a few of the same parts.
