but i don't think he was looking to spend over 500 bucks.
I agree the price is a little steep but it was a christmas present from the girlfriend and I was not going to tell her no

Its about 45mph out of the box with a 38 tooth spur gear, I upgraded to a steel 40 tooth, I'll see if it makes a difference.

Yea Tootall the plastic does go fast. The first day i had mine i hit a telephone poll doin around 40 and tore the front right suspension off. had to replace both shocks top and bottom a arms, bulkhead and shock tower.

after the 3rd time i finally upgraded to aluminum.

REVO FTW.

I love mine, though it is NOT a CHEAP hobby...

Heres a quick pic of mine the small one is a Team Associated TC3 and is my lightest(mainly titanium) and fastest no joke hit can hit over 80-90mph. Very modified and a pain in the a$$ to drive in anything but a straight line and thats even tricky

The big one is a Team Associated MGT and is also modified mainly the motor though the thing can pull wheelies at will and from a stand still it can flip itself over.

The middle one is my newest toy its a Team Losi-8 an 8th scale truggy and i do have to say truggys/buggys are the way to go IMO theyll go street/offroad and you can beat the hell out of them and the stock motor is strong

I used to be into the drag stuff locally, I can't find any pics of the car but just like everyone else I had WAY too much money into it lol.

I ran an Ofna UltraGTP, kinda like the new Hyper One Seven, basically it was a buggy modded down to a road car. I had well over 800 in just chassis/suspension mods including custom carbon fiber chassis/mounts/struts along with custom turned aluminum shocks and a-arms. The motor I ran was a picco .26 outlaw on nitrous
The nitrous stuff does work for the r/c cars, but the fuel you have to run with it gets expensive. Anyways, I wish I still had a little t-maxx to play with here and there but that car took all of my money in high school lol.
