Default MANUAL SHIFTING vs LEAVING IT IN DRIVE IN THE NEW HEMI's

I made this video to show why its runs so much better MANUAL SHIFTING than leaving it in DRIVE.

If you leave it in DRIVE the 2-3 shift recovery is 3500 rpm which puts it outside the power band which slows it down

If you MANUAL SHIFT the 2-3 shift recovery is 5200 rpm which leave it in the power band which make its keep pulling hard.

This truck is BONE STOCK and i hoep this will explain why MY HEMI runs good and its cause i manual shift when i drive. Its called doign research

BONE STOCK ONLY MAGNAFLOW SI/DO

Looks more like it's locking the converter in 2nd...

And you only ran it 5mph in "3rd gear"?

edit

Gear Ratios:
1st 3.00:1
2nd 1.67:1
2nd Prime 1.50:1
3rd 1.00:1
4th 0.75:1
Reverse 3.00:1
545RFE only:
5th 0.67:1

In the 45RFE applications four gears are utilized, with a different (1.50:1 rather than 1.67:1) second gear to increase versatility when downshifting. In 545RFE usage, an extra taller overdrive ratio is also used. Chrysler decided to refer to it as a "multi-speed automatic".

You're actually going into 2nd Prime it seems, it's like a passing gear.

cause i let off, no point of going more when it did what i wanted it to do. Im not trying to show a speedo clip more like showing that it does when manual shifting vs leaving it in drive.

and your right its called 2nd gear prime. I mostly posted this cause many people think im tuned when i havent lost a race from a roll with the stock 2010. So i posted this showing that it pulls harder on the top end and makes a difference when racing leaving it in drive

Well from what I read with a quick google search, using 2nd prime is pretty hard on the trans. Not sure I'd keep doing that if I were you.

LOL, You can be as picky as you want to be. Especially on the street roll racing a stock truck. I mean, usually people know when to leave something alone, but all it would take to out run you is a tuned 6.2. I'm not saying that your truck isn't quick, I'm saying that to be undefeated in street racing with a stock truck is just hilarious! Now if you are only running stock trucks, then you may very well have a good chance to be quicker than the others from the factory, but you better leave a factory lightning alone.

You want a tuned 6.2 to run a stock 5.7L...If i lose who cares its stock and my D.D

and LIGHTNING????? LOL if i race it who cares im a crewcab 5600lb dodge. I have beaten the harley davidsons and that the same thing as a lightning just closer to my weight

There is nothing wrong with having fun while my daytona was down getting a 426 done for it and now that its done i only race at the track now and thats with the daytona. I have raced stock crewcab 6.2 and beat them. Tuned 6.0 and beat them, tuned 5.3 and beat them, stock tundra and beat them...Ill just post the videos of me having fun with my D.D
