LS2 in 2500HD wins county truck pull

I work with this guy and a year back he ditched the iron 6.0 in place of a 2005 gto ls2 6.0, despite the two motors having identical cubes the ls2 with its more compression and cam has been slightly better on fuel mileage and overal power. only other mods are shorty headers, intake, my ported TB, and a tune.
Truck pulled 281 ft, second place pulled 275 ft, and most others were in the 230-240 range.

There was a short bed dodge ram(like mine in the sig.) that pulled 230 ft with a 440....just more motivation to get the ls1 swap done....
It seemed like the small block trucks would do better, get the rpms up there and keep tire speed up.
