Default Honda Days-Domestic vs. Imports

I went to the track a few weekends ago for the ALASKA version of Honda Days. They said it was imports vs. domestics. I didn't race in the king of the street. I just did the domestic street class. I was the 5th fastest vehicle out there. It was around 85-88* that day and they were making guys do hot laps in each class. You had to complete all 3 passes in your class to qualify. My truck did not like the back to back hits. I managed to get in the back of the line and stall each time and had about 10-15 minutes between each hit.

Anyways, here is some video of the 3 runs and a video my buddy put together. Out of 3 runs I got to run 2 hellcats. And the other was a 750hp Mustang that broke his blower belt on the launch. Check it out.

Thanks! It's fun to drive.

I use to drive it all year round up here in Ak. I have owned this truck since 07'. It was my daily until 13'. I don't have a clue how heavy those 22" wheels and tires are, but I know they are heavy! I just got some 17" racestars and I am going to go to 4 dr's for next spring. I would expect a little improvement just from the wheel change, let alone being able to launch harder with some traction.

I feel guilty. I bought the racestars. I went cheap. We shall see how they do. I think I am going to try the 275/50r17 M&H radials. Hopefully they will hook with them being on all 4 corners.

Chopping that tree down. I bet you pick up about 2/10s with the wheel change.

I will find out next spring. Our last race of the year is in two weeks. My tires won’t be in by then. Awesome shipping to Alaska. Lol!
