right around 4000 with me in it, 10.4 is rich but not to rich imo.... anything lower than that and i can get some fuel knock, but seems to like 10.4... Main reason it was at 10.4 cause iat was adding some fuel which is fine with me till i get my meth! Im actually commanding 11.2 AFR but i did have certain perameters lined up to where if i over boosted it would dump alot of fuel or if iats got to high it would add some also

It busted off a 10'6 and felt great, my motor seems to like a rich mix of gas with 160 degrees iat for some reason

Not sure how I missed this, but great job man. That's some big mph, but hell you got to figure pt88@15 with good timing to it would roll out pretty good lol. Happy for you and keep it up!! She's got tons left in it, but I'm with these guys on that being a lil fat. My truck won't even run in the mid 10 a/f's without breaking up real bad.

Sorry to ask an ignorant question but I have never learned anything about A/F ratios other then seeing people post them

I would assume it is 10.x parts air to 1 part fuel? Also saying 10.x is fat you would want it 10.0 or less?

Thanks. Seeing as there is lots of knowledge in this thread and I will want to learn tuning come next spring, I will use this as my first nuget of info.

Fat=too much fuel. So everyone is saying he needs to lean it out to 11.0-11.5 ish.

And yes you're right on the air to fuel ratio.

I knew fat being rich.

Is that range the general goal regardless of nitrous, FI, or N/A.

Thanks I will let the thread resume with this as my final tuning question.

You can go leaner with N/A (12.5-13.x) FI in general it's a good idea to keep them a little richer, 11.5-12.25 is a good for starters. I'm a fan of 11.5 on E85, but I don't get worried as long I keep it 11.0-12.0 thru the full pass. Stock pistons seem to enjoy the extra fuel for cooling.
