yep
a stock stall/3:42s/full bolt on.....13.5 @ 105 vs his big ass cam/3600 stall/3:73s you sure hung a lot closer than i thought. if i had that big cam and you hung like that i'd be mad. im only trapping 103mph vs your 105. so it'd be down to whoever got the jump. but i wanna see what your going to put down E.T and MPH after the stall. i had better luck with flat footing my truck vs the stall up.

what's not right on it?
shift points?
A/F?
timing?
shii you can get it pretty dead on with just o2 sensors and knowing what you are doing. my truck was dead on A/F wise, but we adjusted for some uh higher rpms:secret2: it's really fun to drive this truck.

that big of a cam, i bet he can go higher in the RPMs and the cam wont fall off...

m3srt what motor you got?

iamkeniff 06-13-2010 08:45 PM

he has the 5.3/60e iirc

slamdlsx 06-13-2010 08:49 PM

not bad at all then lol. gotta be the newer trucks. dont think my 04 would hang with the same mods.

no, we have more compression, better heads, bigger intake, tb....but im sure if you was to do the same top end with milled heads you'll be very close.

i dont know exactly whats wrong with it, but for some reason it wont idle correctly... something to do with the air tables

shift points needs to be adjusted
A/F is ok i think
timing is pretty good i believe

wouldnt slapping on some 799 heads and an 08 up intake have the same effect?

iamkeniff 06-14-2010 05:52 AM

not stock heads. i THINK your 5.3 has dome pistons vs my 5.3 that has flat tops, so my 5.3 would already have more compression on yours = hp.
grab a set of 799/243s mill them .040" get the right pushrods and bam! you got a milled head/90mm intake 5.3 with a rump.
you cant go wrong with better heads imo. its all in what budget you want, have, and what you are willing to do to get 20-30 more hp....i honestly am happy with my CC so i dont see myself changing much more....i love the way it runs, and it pulls its ass off on the street.
