Default 5.3 idle with Isky "triple 12" cam

EDITED: Added newer sound clip. For some reason just isn't very loud. May need some earbuds to hear it good on a laptop.

5.3, cai, efans, 93 tune, isky cam, 165a springs, arp head bolts and heads milled and gaskets for almost 10:1cr. Idle is set at 675 I think, but runs 650-700.

Nice, we put a triple 12 in my brothers truck, and I put a little smaller cam in my truck Friday. (206/212)

How do you like it so far?

cam sounds healthy for sure. I like it, just enough to know it's cammed, but not popcorny. I've been thinking of going to the triple 12 in my 6.0 but I've been too lazy to swap the cam out.

I definitely like it so far. Right now Im having knock sensor issues so I cant get the full feel of it yet, but it's definitely MUCH better than the stock cam. Even with stock manifolds, cats, trans, and converter. Usually my truck would take 20-30% throttle to maintain a good cruising speed, now its 10-20%.

Thanks man . The video doesn't really do it justice. Its not loud by any means, but when its in Park or Neutral, you can really hear the cadence of the cam.

For your 6.0, Id check with Stock48 and see what cam he recommends. I think he uses a 214 duration cam.

the 165a springs are Isky's beehive springs for LS engines. They're good for like .580-.600 lift I believe.

Should have a better audio clip up here soon!

Here's a somewhat better sound clip. Its clearer but at the expense of volume. So if your on a laptop like me it may be best to use earbuds to listen. And sorry its 2min long, the shorter version will replace it once it finishes updating.
