06 Vmax crew 1, Lowes HD rental 0
Got into a little tangle on the way home today. I was in the right lane going striaght through an intersection, with a Lowes rental truck stopped behind a car turning from the left lane. Just before I get to the intersection, Bang! THe dude in the rental tried to cut around the turning car and tagged me in the rear door, cab corner, and bedside. No one hurt, and at least I could drive away. The rental had a severly bent tie rod and had to be towed. Guy admitted it was his fault.

GOt an appointment tomorrow with my insurance company, and luckily, my dad owns a body shop, except it's two hours away.

I dropped it off at my dad's body shop today, $3,600 in damage. Going to get a used door, new cab corner, and new bedside.
Dad even let me use his 06 GMC 2500HD RCLB while he's got my truck. No rush, except I want to take it on our trip to NC at the end of the month.

Damn Tom that sucks 
Hopefully your pop can get the truck back to you and we can fix the vent solenoid before your trip, but if not, it's no big deal as that solenoid won't cause any performance problems. I believe that if the vent valve is clogged severely enough you could have issues when filling up the gas tank, but you haven't mentioned that as being a problem for you...

Definately could have been worse, the worst part is the lost time in dealing with insurance and all the extra driving.
But at least I'm taking advantage of having the truck in the shop to get some dents from the previous owner fixed and one other small mod done. I asked how much and how long to paint the entire truck, but he said he's too busy to take on that type of project in my time frame.
