any suggestions?
i completed my 4 years of Navy service last April, i never received my DD214 which didnt bother me until now....now that i need it to get a VA home loan. the lady i spoke to at the VA thinks it will take about 30 days to get a copy of my DD214 but my whole loan application is waiting on that one form. im going to try calling Military Personnel Records tomorrow and see if they can get it for me faster than the VA. does anyone have any other ideas on what i should do?

I'd call one someone you may still know at your last unit and have them give you the number to the personnel office and go from there man... the VA, and MPR have shown me they take forever usually and theres miles of red tape... hopefully this helps.

i took 35 days od terminal leave so they were supposed to send my service record and dd214 in the mail.
i called the ship and got no help, i called psd afloat and got an answering machine, left a message and never got a call back. im going to go to a recruiter tomorrow and see if they can get it for me in less than 30 days
