Just to add, its also impossible to get that area 100% clean without putting the block through a hot tank... even them I'm not sure it'd be 100%.

I tried. I torched the bajeezus out of it and flushed the block with clean water and let it sit for several days to air dry

not sure any of it helped lol

did I post pics of the valley full of water up to the intake?

Yuck.

I don't remember if you said it, but does this boat see salt water?

Fresh water only. Nearest ocean is ~16hrs away lol

Salt Lake, UT is closer, but I do not know if you can boat it. Fair point, I don't travel to Utah much

Pulled the heads, dat was nasty

Ordered carb rebuild, gaskets and fuel/water separators. 1 to replace the 25yr old one on there and 1 to keep in the box JIC. Fuel pump grommets are absolutely toast but luckily I have some that will fit. Still waiting on valve springs and short block to arrive

Looking for suggestions on other marine parts/tools to throw in the Pelican case to keep onboard, if anyone has suggestions

After almost a year of delays and incorrect parts, the Larson is a fully functional boat again. As far as boats go, super easy to work on- but I'll never transom seals and bellows again as long as I live 🤣

The list of replacement parts is "if it could wear out, was worn out or would wear out- it got replaced"

Just about $5200 in parts later.... lol
