Once I get the boat to my place I will pop off the intake and look. Will the crack be visible from the top, if it's cracked?

Where can I find water cooled LS manifolds.... for..... "just in case" reasons?

Cracks should be easy to see in lifter valley. I would never consider ls swap. Sevens Marine made an outboard with the caddy motor to compete with mercury and guess what there are out of business. If she is really wanting to restore it and it be reliable go mercruiser.

Volvo penta bought them out which is another competitor. Had them for a few years, then stopped production. Supposedly because wants to become green. I think it was because mercury released the v12 600.

Volvo was afraid builders like saber would choose outboard power over their pods. It was a legitimate fear, the 7 marine engines were bad ***, those v12 are stupid heavy. I saw the first tripple set yesterday at Jarrett bay while I was refitting a 47 express. They are huge!

I found LS exhaust manifolds from Hardin Marine: $1900

Crank driven water pump: $300

Plumbing and acc: call it $1000

4.8+tune: $1000

You guys think I should tell her this is the cheapest option or should I try to braze the block
