Default 2nd Gen S10 LS Swap Experts, Step In

I am looking to pick up a 2nd generation 2wd S10 for an LS swap. I'd like to have the build planned out as well as I can before I begin so it will go as quick and as smoothly as possible. I am not a stranger to wiring or fabrication, but I'd like to put this one together with as many off the shelf parts as possible. Is there a specific year or years that would be best to start out with? I believe I'd like to start with a 98+ in order to have the newer style interior. It looks like CPW has most of the parts available, at a price.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

98+ is easiest. there are other companies out there besides CPW for s10 swaps.

I actually have a few s10 lsx swap parts for sale. Lol but s10forum has a great sticky on the lsx conversion.

You could so the wiring yourself, eBay swap headers for cheap, and some used parts and you could do the swap fairly cheap
