i was wanting to swap out my 4.8 in my 2010 regular cab sierra for a 6.0 and was searching on the internet for l76 motors. I came across a l76 engine with a 6l80e tranny pulled from a pontiac g8 and was wondering if it would fit in my sierra?

if anyone would know if this would or wouldnt work in my sierra i would appreciate it.

It will work.

You'll need to ditch the dod though. Your 4.8'doewmt have it as far as I know so your truck won't have the necessary wiring. You're much better off without it anyway.

Are you talking about just using the l76 or are trying to use both the 6.0 and 6l80? If just using the motor then yeah will be an easy swap but will be a lot more involved if your trying to get the 6 speed to work in place of your 4 speed.
