Was just pointed to this thread by another member. Your compassion and condolences are greatly appreciated.
While flowers would certainly have been a wonderful addition to my brother's memorial, it made more sense to me to ask Dewey to donate that money instead. We felt that assisting a cause that will help prevent other families from being placed unexpectedly and unwillingly into the position that mine was placed could be a truly meaningful effort.
The generosity of "strangers" (although I've met or spoken to many of you) on the internet is truly amazing. Thank you all.
