well its been a few months since I talked to you about the 243 heads and z06 cam change on my 2004. Well the motor filled with coolant from the heads leaking around the head bolts and trashed the 5.3. So we went with a 30 over 6.0l with 317 heads changed the valves to 2.02 and 1.64 bought a nnbs intake and a 90mm tbody . put a
howards cam in it 625/625lift 234/242 with 109ls. long tube headers.hope it all works out. Thanks for all your help. The guys on this site are great.

I saw where you but a set of 243 heads on your truck so I have a question for you. I have a 2002 5.3 and have a set of 243 head I was going to have milled them .040 and run a factory MLS head gasket. I have a tr220 with 1.8 rockers in my truck now will I have a valve clearance issue with the milled head and my cam set up? I am just asking because I saw where you switched to the ZO6 cam so I thought the 220 cam may have had to much lift for the set up.

WHen you switched to 243 heads did you have to change anything and do you have a port polish mil job done to them as well

Just kind of curious, what do you have done underneeth the hood of that truck.
