Imo Ford doesn't have a manual trans that can handle the L's 450 ft-lbs of torque and weight of a truck.

maybe a cobra-spec'd t56 trans could take the toruqe and weight of the truck.

but i have never heard of it at all.

Eh.. manuals are fun but properly tuned auto = faster (there is a good chance that is gonna start a war!)

its a proven fact that a tuned and stalled auto is faster, AT THE TRACK. some say a stick is faster on the street, because you can pick the gear it goes into no question. i personally think a stick is more fun to drive

There's at least one Gen 2 with a T56 running around, another with a T6060 out of the GT. There's also one Gen 1 that I know of with a T5 in it.

The problem isn't finding the transmission that will hold the tq and weight, it's finding a clutch that will hold it, lol. Ford has every part a guy could possibly need to do the swap, it's just a bit time consuming. I've been kicking around the idea of putting a T56 in mine. But then again, my trans shifts a lot faster than I can right now, lol.

Why run a stick? Thats the biggest thing holdin the RC SRT10's back, they'd run a lot better with a auto in them. Thats why you L guys run so damn good with less power, you guys get it to the ground better.

Yeah, but a good manual transmission would be more fun for the backroads and overall fun to drive factor. JMO.

I'd love to pick up a lightning and do a T56 swap. Even if it did get a little slower.
