Ive seen a couple LS7s make it like 150mi on a dropped valve. anything is possible when you dont give a **** about the motor lol

I've murder two LS7 lifters in my little 383 stroker...never again. Spent $ on Johnsons this time around.

What oil are you running? Did your machine shop suggest an oil to use? Sometimes they make the tolerances a little loose expecting you to use thicker oil without telling you to do so. Do a leak down test when you get back and see what is actually happening.

i just had my bypass in my oil pump stick open after my comp trunion kit filled the motor with metal. oil pressure just dropped off for no reason.

Comp trunnions kits have been failing left and right. The bearings eat up the trunnions.

I run conventional ZR1 20W-50 (5qts) + 1 quart 50W and change it every 3k.

better check mine I guess while the motor is apart...****.

mine looked good and felt tight but when i pushed one of the bearings back out you can see the trunion is eaten away. only two of the surfaces werent ruined. my whole motor had a fine dust of hardened steel in it. the bearings had a bunch of it embedded in them, the bypass piston was all scratched up causing it to stick in the bore, its bad stuff.
