torque converter
I have a PI converter I bought it used the guy told me it was a 3600 I like it but I can't brake stall it too high. I can only get to about 2200 rpms. I have this in my ecsb with a 5.3. I can punch it from about a 20 roll and the rpms will jump to around 3700 I just wonder why the converter is as tight as it is. Maybe its not a 3600 lol

might not be. my yank 3500 can brake stall to at least 3000(i haven't gone any higher)

Where did you buy it from? Do you have any proof of what it is or any chance you could send it off to be checked and restalled?

I bought it used I know its a PI but the guy told me it was a 3600. I might just try and sell it cheap I think its about a 2800-3200 stall
|
that is because the STR (stator rating) of the converter is probably higher, like mine.
i had mine built with a 2.4 STR, which is fairly "tight" so that i could tow small things like a bass boat, etc... if you were working with a 2.1 or 2.0 str, it would most likely brake stall to around 3000 or better. ;) |
do you wanna sell it?
