Those with ARP head bolts

On my 99 5.3, the factory call for loctite on the oem smaller top bolts, I'm using ARP and their directions don't call for any. Do you skip the loctite and just use the grease? Thanks

Yes. Use the moly lube that comes with the bolts.

This. I've run my APRs for about 12,000 miles with no leaks and no locktite. I also overtorqued my long bolts 3-5 ft/lbs, but this isn't necessary.

Another vote for just their assembly lube. Proper torquing is better than thread sealing IMO.

I sure wish they would give a little more lube in their packages, what they come with isn't enough to coat the end of my... well nevermind, but it's not hard to use it all on one side, lol. At least with a big block.

Run the moly lube, but I would only recommend tightening to their spec. Although, we coat the threads and underneath the head of the bolt to ensure correct torque.
