stroked 5.3l

I am torn on what size to build my 5.3l into. I want to have really go low end torque and high end hp. I was also wondering if anyone knows of a good shop in the Phoenix area that tunes well. I was wondering what my truck should be running in the 1/4. See sig for whats done to it.

just buy a 6.0

PathfinderJr 05-19-2009 07:52 PM

+1

and if you really want more torque and hp, slap a blower on it

If i did do a 6.0, what kind of blower? A maggie or the new vortech or procharger.

TVS1900 or at least an MP122 both from Magnusson.

should be enough to get your truck into the 10s no problem.

slo-rod 05-19-2009 10:25 PM

with my setup right now what do you think I should run

RandomHero 05-19-2009 10:30 PM

with the hypertech I'd say low 14s. With a good tune you might be in the 13s. I have no idea what kind of cam that is. It could be a 190/190 .566/.568 lift cam for all I know. The lift doesn't really mean anything on a stock heads truck.

its a 222/224 with 112 lope seperation. so should i port and polish the heads or get a new set.
