Stock or longer pushrods???

I have a cam and valve spring set out of a 02 Z06 (.525 lift/blue springs) and am attempting to put it in a stock 05 5.3 truck. Will the stock pushrods work or are longer ones needed because of a smaller diameter cam or is it the same size as the stock 5.3 cam? Also I have yellow springs at my disposal as well. Should I use them for this cam or save them for my late model (.549/.551 lift) LS6 transformation for my TA??? I have hopes that both end up daily driven turbo vehicles

stock rod length would be fine, id get harden ones since youre there, change the springs also why youre into the motor ;)

That's the plan. I'm investing in the LS valve spring compressor and everything

The 02+ LS6 cam has a smaller base circle than the stock cam, so yes the stock rods would work fine, but are not ideal at all. You need to run a 7.425 rod if you wish to make up for this. Also, you should run the yellow springs if the blue's are only good to .525 lift, this cam is right at .550.

My bad, this is a 01 LS6 cam (.525lift)
