Stop messing with a stock pump, use the GM DOD pump out of the later year trucks, then tell me you dont have crazy pressure.

get you a high pressure pump. 20 is ok at idle. I like to see 25-30 min, but thats just me. that cam bearing could be where you are loosing psi, or cam plate gasket. i have seen some old cam plate gaskets leak and loose pressure.

Also, if you have a cam bearing that looks bad, it could have walked. If it did, you gota pull the motor.

to have a machine shop put the cam bearings does it have to be a bare block? or can it be with the cam out and holding the lifters in there place.

Also after taking a oil pan off another 6.0 i have, i noticed a small gasket that goes on top of the oil pan gasket right above the oil filter and it has 2 holes. I dont remember putting this gasket on the 6.0 on my truck could this be an issue?

had a similar problem with my lq4 but mine would drop to 0 changed pump, then changed o ring still same problem ,well my brother came up with mabey the motor was dirty in the inside and it might be pluging up the filter so we did like three oil changes right back to back and the oil was coming out dirty after the oil changes it would still do it but it would last longer so he decided that every time the oil presure droped we would change the oil filter well we chaned it about 3 times a week its been about 1 month since the last time i changed it and my oil presure has been fine

I remember an old thread where a member here forgot that gasket and didn't get any oil flow up to the heads....IIRC

Did you clean out the oil passages prior to assembly? Sea Foam the oil to clean out your system. Do a search on how.

Bad cam bearing will definitely cause this issue as well.

I wouldn't even run 5lbs of boost until you got it figured out.

Yes, this could be another issue as well.

Each of these issues by themselves may not be a problem, but after putting them all together it makes one bigger problem.

Bottom line, I would take it out, and go through it 100%.

If you really want to run 10lbs of boost, I would have all bearings replaced, and have the block looked over by a machine shop.

Sorry, and good luck.

Same here. Those pressures are lower than mine were with two wiped out main bearings.

I didn't clean them but looked cleaned.. will try the seafoam just in case. My friend removed the caps did a visual inspection on the bearings and used plastic gauge to check the clearences then re-torqued them down again.. going to try changing the oil too and the oil pan gasket. if worse imma have to pull the engine out
