And whatever changes I make don't have to be done in a wkend because I have to drive it to work. So if I've got the time, why not I guess... The 5.3/65E/SS3600 probably won't come out until the new motor/trans is sitting next to the truck ready to go in. I don't want to be one of these guys who tears their truck apart and takes a yr+ to put it back on the road.

I've gotten a deal on everything I'm doing.... So why not?

I'm redoing most of the interior while its in progress too, got some of that stuff yesterday. Still have to go get my seats.

Im going to have to redo a bunch of stuff to feed this thing, I doubt the 60's will keep up, and dual fuel pumps will be a must.

Im still reading up on what kind of turbo its going to take to meet my goals. I want to keep the T4 flange I have, just trying to find out the biggest T4 turbo that will work for what I'm wanting... not super high topend hp numbers. quick spool and monster tq will be my objective. From everything ive seen, if you shoot for a big tq number, the hp will follow proportionally. I dont see why some solid 10s would be out of reach for this type of setup if the suspension is done right.

all this will be done in CASH as its built so it may take a bit longer than the normal CC swiped build. I dont like having payments on my Hp. The topend will still be a mild setup using 317 heads to begin with and a truck intake until I step to some 245ish heads and a Vic Jr... then the potential of this thing will be known.

this is all in the prelim stages. like I said, after its all said and done it may end up something different but this is the type of build im looking at right now.

Stick with a 4.030 bore, off the shelf pistons, plus you are maxing the block out at 4.060. No room for another rebuild.

Rick, reason he's going .060 over is the block he picked up had some cylinder wall damage past the .030 mark. I told him to look for another block but #1; he says it was a good deal and #2; he says 414ci sounds sweet LOL

Got a boat anchor there in your shop he can pick up for cheap?

matter of fact I have a block I can sell you for 400 if you want. But I would tell him to go only .010 over the 4.030 instead. Take as little off as possible.

The blocks been checked out and plenty of room for a rebuild, and I'm getting an entire bottom end for less than that.... And don't have to ship it.
