rpm range...

Hi guys I'm new to this site, and I am looking into a possible cam swap for my truck and was wondering what the rpm range the 2003 z06 cam has. I'm leaning more towards this cam for smog reasons and to retain my trailblazer converter so if you have any other suggestions let me know. thanks chris

They are around 2400-6300 if i remember correctly, that tb converter will be pushing it but with a lighter truck you will probably be fine.

I think you'd be alright with the TB converter, but a bigger one always helps.

cool thanks guys, yeah the converter flashes and foot brakes right at about 2500 so I should be cool.

Thats alittle otpimistic, mayber behind a LQ9 it might. I have a good TB converter with 8000 miles on it if your intrested PM me. I went to a Yank 3600 and I will never look back, best mod I've done besides spray.

mpfd? you don't think the converter I have have will work, cause I'm really looking to keep it I don't really want to go bigger.

It will work it just won't quite stall that high. Mine would flash to about 2000 behind a stock 5.3. It won't if you install a zo6 cam. Your gonna lose bottem end, it won't be drastic but the more torque a motor has down low tha higher it will stall. It's on ok mod, I just didn't think it did nearly as much as everyone on here claimed it would.
