It will work but that 408 will perform better with more cam and more converter

I used a 228 230 on my first 408 and loved it. Ran 11.50s on nitrous then switched to larger cam and only ran 11.2. Smaller cam had great power off idle and larger cam pulled like crazy up top but lost a bit down low.

i think the v2 cam would be better and you would be fine with your stall and gears.

I would think it is a bit small but you already have it and you won't leave too much on the table. I say run with it. If you decide later you want more then you can swap it for not much time or money.

Its going to be very similar to stock 6.0 cam on stock 6.0 cubes. Since you are using 243's I'm assuming you are not going turbo. If that's so, I'd recommend a bigger cam -- my mid 230's cams are very "small" in a 408.

Picking a cam depends a lot on your goals and wants. Without knowing those, no one can really recommend a cam for you. I wouldn't run a 224 cam in my 408 personally -- even with the turbo.

Trade for the Torquer V2, especially if it's a straight trade
