Default Pushrod Length - LQ4 with 799 Heads

I picked up a set of 799 heads for my lq4. I have ran 7.4 pushrods on my lq4/317 combo with a gt2-3 cam for years without any issues.

I am pulling the 317's, installing studs, 799's, and ls9 gaskets.

Will the 7.4 pushrods be fine?

Most likely they would be unless you milled... I believe we came up with a general consensious of just over 7.38 from factory pushrods.

Get a PR checker and make 100% sure, but as stated if you arent milling you should be fine with 7.4s. Are you putting in LS7 lifters?

Thanks for the replies fellas - going to buy a pushrod length checker. Rather be safe than sorry.
