PRC .650 Lift Dual Springs
 
Who's running these? Any info about them, as far as reliability and longevity? A complete dual spring kit with titanium retainers sounds awesome for under $300.

I don't want to hear any info about Patriot Golds, don't like Patriot products (although I have heard that the PRC's and Pat Golds use the same wire for the spring, but also read somewhere that the PRC's have a redesigned, upgraded retainer)

Also would like to know if this kit includes valve locks, I don't see them listed in the description...

I'm gonna try and get Matt@Texas-Speed over here for his input also :cheers:

To start, we do not use the same wire or manufacturer for our springs as Patriot. They are made by a different manufacturer all together :)

Sadly, they ran out of the wire used for our .650" lift springs a couple months ago, and we ran out of these springs. I don't expect to have them back in stock until early June. Once they get the wire, they still have the entire manufacturing process, and then the springs are aged before we get them. The same aging process is used for our EHT .675" lift spring kit as well. I'm no engineer, so I cannot speak for the science behind the aging the springs, but I am assured by the manufacturer it is a vital part of why our springs do not sag and loose install height like our competitor's springs do over time.

Here's a little of the details about them for anyone interested:

Closed Spring Pressure: 145lbs @ 1.800"
Open Spring Pressure: 450lbs @ 1.150"
Maximum Spring Lift: .650"
Coil Bind 1.080"
Spring Rate: 469lbs/in

Now the EHT .675" spring kit does offer a longer life (about double) due to the different wire used for them. In Spintron testing, they have been proven to last close to 3 times as long as the competitor's spring kit mentioned in the original post in this thread! They have a tighter coil bind so you can run some extra lift on them, as their description says. Here's the specs on them:

Closed Spring Pressure: 157lbs @ 1.800"
Open Spring Pressure: 471lbs @ 1.125"
Maximum Spring Lift: .675"
Coil Bind 1.060"
Spring Rate: 483lbs/in

Our kits do not come with new locks. Rather they were designed to use stock GM locks or equivalent. We had had tremendous success with the GM locks in our kits, so we see no reason to change that. Of course, we can offer you a new set of valve locks with your purchase if you want to change them out for any reason!

Because we are out of the .650" springs currently, we are upgrading everyone to the EHT spring kit at no additional charge ($50 value)!

Thanks Matt, I knew that you'd have good info to share...

Glad to hear that TSP and Pat use different wire all together, that was actually a concern of mine, and another example of internet misinformation that I found ;)

I had assumed that we could reuse our factory locks, that makes life easy.

According to TSP's website, the .650 springs are pn 199-650, while the .675's are 199-675...makes sense (notice the "650" and "675" in the pn's that reflect their max lift ratings ;) )

They are still listed at their retail price, but if you order online the price will be correct at the time the order is processed to $289.99!

I bought the 0.650" spring kit (Below) on February 24th. Does that mean I automatically got upgraded to the 0.675" kit? Or did you still have some 0.650" kits in stock?

Any time titanium is mentioned for under $300 is a steal on a spring kit, especially a high lift spring kit. Isn't PRC essentially TSP?
