Polydyne coating..????
Has anyone on here dealed with it and can tell me its worth the money and that it actually worked. I want to get my 6.1L intake powdercoated and since its getting done might as well get it polydyned.
Is it worth the money or should i invest the money in powercoating my wheels |
wheels = no performance gain

I'm thinking it's some sort of ceramic coating.

What's got be confused is the intake is plastic. Any kind of heat treatment would distort or melt the intake wouldn't it? Unless we're talking about some of the metal intakes. Wouldn't mind hearing more about this.

I've heard of it, and heard that it works will on pistons, but as Spoolin mentioned, I have no idea how it would help a plastic intake. The plastic intake already has good heat transfer properties as it is, but I'm now very curious as to how this coating would work on it. Honestly, I'd think that it would have more of an asthetic affect as opposed to helping heat transfer, but I'm only guessing. :shrug:
