Hey dudes a buddy told me about this site so i joined. I am a bare foot water skier, so I tow a 4000lbs boat every weekend.

Already have 7.4 push rods from the rocker swap

Now I need all the other parts

My list

Ls7 lifters with ls2 trays, $160
Lunati dual valve spring set .660 lift $240

I would suggest checking your PR length when installing the LS7 lifters, you may need 7.350 PR's

Any reason for getting the dual springs? Ls6 spring are $60 and will work great with that cam

Head studs? plan on boost?

For the head studs... my mind set was if I need to take the motor apart again for some reason I wont have to buy new gm bolts every time. Just get the head studs and be prepared for any future upgrades. Arp headbolts/studs are to expensive.

Everywhere I read the Ls7 lifters are the stock replacement. Are they longer?

For the springs the truck has 100,000+ miles so I was looking for a spring kit with new seals, locks, retainers..... and when the transmission blows and gets rebuilt I plan on putting a 2600 stall in it, possibly a larger cam with more lift/ ported heads. Wayyyyy down the road

Could you explain the lifter push rod thing just a little bit more?

What brand lubes would you recommend for the cam/bolts?
Can I get by with head gaskets and o ring or is other gaskets needed?

The LS7 lifters are not longer, however they do have a different plunger depth, which is why you will want to measure. We typically shoot for somewhere around .050"-.060" preload.

I had to use 7.350" pushrods with the LS7 lifters. If you have the funds, buy a set of 7.350" rods and maybe 7.375" rods, and a length checker. Then sell the rods you don't end up using. Otherwise you will have to wait for the pushrods to show up once you figure out the right length.

Also consider getting a new timing cover gasket and water pump gaskets.

I think those springs are overkill unless you're planning boost. What is the lift exactly? I have new takeoff valve seals if you're interested. You can reuse the retainers and locks.
