Need help getting the right cam

I new to this form I was wondering if y'all could help me choose the right cam for my built..lq4 with 243s .040 gaskets Tbss intake, 90mm tb, LT headers 3200 stall 4.11 gears

what are you putting it in? Are you NA, nitrous, FI? I think a 224 224 cam would work great.

I think youd be happy with cam similar to what im using... Comp cams xr275hr (54-426-11) not most radical of cams but wakes it up quite a bit especailly with your stall and headers..

I'm going to drop it into 03 rcsb Silverado..
Maybe nitrous in the future but the for the moment all motor
Do you know the specs of the cam

Look up EPS in Baton Rouge. Geoff wont do you wrong. The cam I just got from him is for notrous. Nothing outragious but I think will be a good all around cam.. Its 234/242 620/604 @ 113. Will be running 2 kits from Nitrous Outlet.
In current form in my signature I have run a best of 13.90 @ 99 mph spinning the wheels all the way. Have not been back to the track since my Caltracs and MT ET streets.

Is that on a stock bottom end?

SlowDude Aug 27, 2015 01:54 AM

Pretty much yes for the crank and rods. Pistons are Mahle .040 flatops full floating wrist pins and rings made and gapped for nitrous. All ARP hardware and everything balanced.

Nitrous on stock bottom end is recipe for disaster...

A lot of people here have shown otherwise.
