Ls6 cam performance
 
i have a stock 05 rcsb with 5.3. it went 14.83@92. how much hp/et would you expect by adding a ls6 cam out of 02 ls6?

im perty sure theres better options for you but pm greymatter his been through a few cams and is now running an ls6 he likes it ....

i though about putting one in my dads 799 headed 6.2 but advancing it a few degrees to lower the rpm range and help out down low

i know i would pick up more if i bought a cam, but this ones free and w/springs. from stock, how much hp?

like 15 or 20 if that ....but i think the ideal ls6 cam is the 04+

my 04 xcab
LS6 cam with 243 heads 3.42 gears LTs and a yank tt3000
ran 13.81 on drag radials and 14.0 at 100 on streets

I like the ls6 cam runs good

its actually a 6.0 block bored to a L92 bore because we are using a stock L92 rotating assembly and i had a set of 799's laying around.

thanks so much for help guys, as long as i would pick up 2-3 tenths/mph i would be satisfied for now. i have a mez. elec. water pump off my 98 ls1 racecar, does it fit trucks?
