ls3 cam in 4.8?
 

got a buddy with a new camaro with a ls3. He is doing a cam swap and i was thinking about picking up his stock cam. just wondering if its worth it power wise, and if so do i need to upgrade my springs and pushrods? And what kind of gains can i look to see.

gains would not be worth the swap IMO, plus if you have an older 4.8 you will have to switch the cam sensor position from the back to the front, which that kit cost around $400 which would be any new off the shelf cam.

Simply the time and price for gains is not worth it.
you would see more gains out of a set of headers.
