Double check this by doing a little research, but I thought I remembered reading that the ls7 lifters were a little taller than stock, which would require your pushrods to be shorter. Plus you had the head milled, also requiring your pushrods to be shorter. Who measured your pushrods and made sure they were the correct length?

Also seemed like the passenger side bank wasn't tapping, or wasn't as loud as the driver's side, interesting.

A little more info and history on what the engine has undergone will help us help you a little better.

First off, I don't really hear anything all too abnormal there. I'd bet a lot of the noise is coming from those headers. Secondly, you should measure for the pushrods, but without measuring I would have gone with 7.4s in that case.

The pushrod checker I ordered has two locking nuts and wont work should have spent the extra money and ordered the comp cam checker.

A lot of people run 7.4s with ls7 lifters. I had to guess the rod length since its my dd and had to get the cam swap done over a weekend to drive to work. I thought 7.325s would be to short and 7.375 would be to much preload. I bet its one of those two.

Don't Laugh at me on this part haha
My oil level was slightly above half way on the operating range so I put half a quart in it after I re checked all the tq on all rockers. The tapping and ticking is almost unnoticeable. I guess the lil 5.3L ate some oil after having my foot constantly in it.

The lines on the valves from the rockers are all in the middle roughly .05-.07 thick.

So it is normal to hear a lil bit of lifter noise? "not spring ticking" Sorry for the essay
