The 116 LSA won't give greater low end torque, but a broader torque curve, actually the tighter LSA should come on a little sooner, but also peak sooner. I like the slightly tighter LSA actually...I went to the website and looked at the specs. The butt-kicker is listed with a powerband that is 200 rpm higher than the Ultra torque, which is interesting since for years now it's been repeated here that a tighter LSA will bring the power on sooner, but also peak sooner. I guess with all other things being equal though, the extra overlap provided by the tighter LSA will actually move the powerband up higher? They're both so similar that I don't believe that you could go wrong either way...

Why did Roger say that the buttkick would be better for your needs?

He did mention that the curve would be broader on the butt kicker. I wanted to get a little more info, but he seemed busy when I called. I didn't want to eat up too much of his time. I'll be calling back on Monday to place the order, at that time I'll see if I can get some more info.

That doesn't make sense, the wider the LSA, the broader the torque curve, and tighter should equal more peak torque at a lower RPM
