Here is my set up
Lq4 317 heads with ls6 springs (blue) ls6 cam , ls7 lifters and ls9 head gasket with arp studs
I want to know should I have do new bearings and call it a day

 

What are you trying to do to it? Explain more about your problems, symptoms, or goals please.

 

I bought the motor for a swap.... I never had it running and I want to make sure the motor is good and sound before installing... I have a procharger that I plan to install.... My biggest concern is the rings and bearing I want.... I have another block that I was going to really build just want to get going for now.... I was thinking of just rolling the dice letting seeing happens if install with out installing bearings and ring..... My only thought is I had a lot of sludge like it wasn't really taken care of....

 

Well, unless you heard it run before you bought it, you'll never really know. If its stock, and you just put on what was listed above, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Did you happen to get the mileage?
