Default Heads and cam

I got a 2007 SIERRA 5.3L (New body) FLex fuel. and i got a set of heads and cam off a 2000 camaro SS. Would I get any benefit on swaping cam and head or just head or notting, just port and polish the OEM heads.

your 5.3 has LS6 heads so that would not be smart to change the heads. the ls1 cam is probably a tad bigger but not worth the effort of putting it in.
