Default Head bolts

Have u guys had any issues getting the rite head bolts on an lq9 mid 05 I guess their is two kits ?

I haven't seen any 2005 with the early (long and short) head bolts. It's the 2004 trucks that can get you into trouble and be either set. Your '05 will be the new style, all short bolts.

so whats the best way to find out on a 04 5.3 if they are long or short? Im lookin to swap 317s for a turbo build and also would like to know compression drop with this swap any advise? thanks

The only sure-fire way I know to tell is to pull a couple of the stock bolts and see what length they are
