Anyone have experience with this cam? Thinking of getting it.

 

No experience with it. But I do have an EPS grind and its been great so far.

What is it going into? I would expect it to be very mild mannered.

 

I have a stock 2001 silverado with 4.8. Looking for a little power increase and hoping for minimal lope sound.

 

in a 4.8 it will be noticeable. I would call Geoff and get his take on it. No one knows that cam better than he does. I dont know what advance it has ground in, or where it will leave your dynamic compression or any of that... hard to really answer questions without knowing those variables.

 

What about the speed inc TU0 cam?

 

You should post the specs of the cams you're questioning. The TU0 is something like 215/215 whatever lift and 115LSA, right? If so, that could be a somewhat mild sounding cam in a 4.8. The tune has a large effect on how the cam sounds at idle too, so keep that in mind.

 

Tu0 is 216/216 and lift is .561/.561 on a 114 LSA

 

vinci 210/218 .551/.551 on 116lsa sounds slightly more aggressive than the ls6 cam and has solid power from idle to 6200 in my buddies 5.3 ec. Total sleeper cam with lots of tq
