Are you using a 90mm TB and Xlink?

Check all your grounds as stated and check the wires in the TB connection up to 6" from the connector. Particularly the brown and yellow wires; they have a tendency to fail. Even if the wire looks good, you'll have to do a "tug" test to see if there is any stretch in the wire. If it feels spongy, time to get a new plug and and splice it in.
