Comp XR275? Or SS2?
Putting together an LQ4 with 799s milled .030", NNBS intake, 90mm TB, 1.75" headers, 2.5" true duals, 4.10s, 4L80E/3500 stall. Truck is about 4400lbs. (2000 Sierra Stepside with hardly any options)
What cam would be better? I know specs aren't everything, but the SS2 is the larger camshaft on paper. Why these two and not something else? Because they are what I have on the shelf. The end goal is to have a quick street truck, maybe hit the track a few times per year. |
I have the xr275 cam in my TMS shortblock with 706s. Gobs of torque and pulls strong to 6500. My CR is about 11.5:1. Runs fine on 93 with an SD tune. |
Run both.

Just curious, what are the specs on them?
