Default Checking valve sweep with factory rockers.

Anyone ever try this? I have some cnc heads that I have valve jobbed and such thus I am checking for pushrod length and proper rocker sweep across the valve tip. With these factory rockers have such a wide radius at the tip versus a narrow radius like a roller rocker would, it basically makes it impossible to get a good witness mark reading on the valve. Iv tried everything on the tip of the valve from dry erase marker, to machinist layout fluid to a little dab of molly and I still can't get a decent reading. From the looks of it though (looking at the tip of the valve from the side with a flashlight) it appears the rocker arm starts at the very edge of the valve (towards the valley) and moves all the way across the valve to the total opposite edge of the valve tip. Definitely not narrow and in the center like I though it should be. Is this just how it is with a factory rocker or am I just one of the few to actually look at this? Cam is only a .581/.588 valve lift BTW.
