Cam suggestions
 

Im looking to get a bigger cam. Think its time for this 212/218 to go. I put it in with not thinking I would stall or p/c it. Whats the biggest cam I can go with that makes the most POWA... Been thinking about the brute speed blower cam. 232/240.:hmmm:

Get someone to spec you out a custom cam for your setup. You can also just get recommendations from a few different companies as well and see where that lands you.

How high do you want to spin that engine with the new cam? You don't necessarily need a huge cam, especially with boost. What procharger model do you have? If you get a huge cam, you will have to spin the piss out of it more than likely.

Even a 219/227 would be a step up from your current cam and would work well.

Try having EPS custom spec you a cam.

I agree with chevyman. You need to get one spec'd first, even if it's just for reference. But it's hard to turn down a cam that is spec'd to your custom set up. You don't need a donkey dick cam. The downsides outweigh the benefits. I would say a blower cam with somewhere around 228 duration would be good.

BTW, getting a cam spec'd is only $20

Why not a reverse split cam??? or is that for the turbo guys.

Those reverse split cams are more for SOME turbo setups, you are correct.

It depends on the setup / combo and some installers / builders might use the same cam over and over for a given setup because they know it works. Reverse split cams are not the best / most efficient for every turbo setup that is for sure..

Seems like more people here lately are using mild single pattern cams with the turbo kits from say KB racing or trick.
