Cam Experts?

Im looking to install a cam for one of my winter projects. I am looking for some help on picking out a nice cam for my app. Im running the 6.0 with a Vortech SC and long tubes, I will be installing a 3000 stall along with the cam. I don't mind something a little aggresive. What do you guys think? Im also adding a snow performance meth injection kit too if that makes a difference. Im sitting @ 472HP to the wheels, my goal is 500....

Considering stall, blower, & 6.0L I wouldn't go over 224* on intake and a 114 lobe sep. Those are some nice #'s. You will probably loose 1-2lbs boost with the cam due to gaining efficiency and a little bleed-off. Impressive #'s :judge:

Thanks for the wisdom, I would assume that the specs you called out will be pretty aggresive? I was also thinking about going to a 3.1 pulley to help out with the boost, what do you think? Or will I be asking for trouble with the comp. ratio? Also what company do you think I should go with? Sorry for all the questions but I want to buy a cam one time and one time only. Springs??? Push rods???

Call Cam Motion. Tell them what you have, and what you want. :judge:

you will have to get up graded springs and i would get upgraded pushrods too.

Yeah I was banking on that.... as long as I can keep everything under a grand.

There will be a noticable idle with that cam but not too agressive for the forced induction. Too much duration and too narrow of lobe sep. and you start to bleed off cyl pressure due to overlap. FI engines don't like much overlap. Any of the cam companies can help you with what you want. I know vinci has a good selection. Look to the right on the sponsor list.
