I know callies makes some good stuff but their website is extremely lacking in information.
Does anyone know what the actual power ratings are on their products? They have Compstar, Dragonslayer, Magnum, Magnum XL, and Billet but show practically nothing that indicates the difference in them in terms of what you need for your build.
Compstar says it's made of 4340 steel and Dragonslayer says it's machined from premium 4340 forgings and then PERMA-TOUGH heat treated for added strength which obviously makes it stronger than the compstar right? But how do I know which one I need in terms of power? I'm sure the crankshafts will hold up considering what a stock one will do but what about the rods?

Is there any place that has this information laid out that shows what each type can handle? I don't want to buy one just to find out it's only good for 600hp when I plan on putting down 500 to the ground.
I can find HP ratings for Scat, Eagle, and Lunati on TSP's website but haven't found anything for Callies even on their own site. It's just like one big brochure that says how great they are but doesn't give any raw data.

Yea I know. But I just hate calling people in general. This is really info that should be made available online so that they aren't getting 100's of calls a day just so someone can do some research.

Yeah Compstar is fine to 900 no problem been there and done that. Much better then Eagle or Scat!!

i would hope atleast that as a rating,considering people have ran stocks pretty damn close to those numbers AFAIK

I am sorry that we do not post "power ratings" mainly because it is a topic that is very subjective and truly depends on what your plans are in terms of power. I would recommend calling the technical depart, and together determine what product line best fits your needs. I am sorry for not posting numbers, be we feel that the business we are in is highly consultative as apposed to just posting numbers.

i know the dragonslayer can take at least 1100 so far. but like stated turbo hp vs say blower is very different . blower put alot of stress on the snout being belt driven and the big blower have broken some bad ass lsx cranks .

I understand as far as setups go. Some people can get more power out of them than others it just really helps to pick a platform. I'm thinking I may want to go with Dragonslayer rods and Compstar crank. Compstar is going to be borderline safe as far as rods go I think.
Hoping to be at ~500rwhp N/A 408 and then later down the road I could add turbo or nitrous. Since a lot of people have taken a stock crank to 1000hp I think the Compstar Crank will do it but the rods I want to be a bit more comfortable with.

Hoping to get a rotating assembly ordered sometime around the 3rd and trying to get everything situated. Gotta contact a machine shop locally to see what they charge on a kit and go from there.
