BTR/ Cam dynamics NSR cam
Anybody using said specific cam on their truck (with or without other supporting mods) if so what gains have you seen real life, track or dyno? |
I literally asked the same question . Just in a different section. It seems most AREN'T recommending this cam . I've yet do have anyone comment that has it, it seems but they are saying it won't make power until the upper rpm and be a dog down low. Doesn't need springs but really needs a converter.

I commented on your thread about the cam as I am using it. I've got this cam in my truck, I was just wondering if anybody else had is all. It does need a stall that is for certain especially in a 4.8/5.3 4x4 truck. Hopefully I'll report back with some 1/8th mile ET's here soon. That being said I've also done some digging and talked to Craig from BTR which lead me to a fella called Blake (avid speed) now he's done a ton of the nsr cam setups from just a cam swap and tune to a little more intense setup using the cam. He told me on a setup like mine is usually in the 40-50+whp gain but the curve with the nsr is so different it feels a lot better through out the band after a tune. Most like the higher lift lower dur cam's but for the price I went with the Nsr and we'll see how I like it after the tune from Atomic I feel good about it thus far. |
Awesome . I'm honestly interested in results. I am looking for a cam ffor a Saab I just picked up. I'll probably have one bought shortly however. I can say I've had good luck with anything TSP. I have the 220 .600 lift and the 228 .600 lift in 2 different vehicles and like both.

I'll report back on it just for others that may be wondering about it, hopefully here soon. |
