Bigger injectors??

I see a lot of guys goin with bigger injectors even if they dont the amount of mods i do in my motor, was wonderin what would be a good step up from the stock 5.3L ones that i have now and if its worth it.

Well....what mods do you have? Bigger injectors will do nothing for you unless you are maxxing the ones you have. Most scanning software can give you Inj. duty %

Ok then i will just have to get ahold of of my tech guy who tunes it with HP Tuner and see what he says.

sonoma43 04-30-2009 07:42 PM

what are your mods? most guy's here will be able to tell ya if your maxed out or not...it doesnt take a whole lot to max the stockers out.
mine are at 98% with LT's, cam, and a few small things. anything over 85% (I believe?) should be upgraded with some bigger injectors

What are your mods??? If you seen guys upper injectors without supporting mods they are idiots.. Only the diesel guys can do it to get more power... Unless your F/I or full bolt ons with the spray, you stock injectors should hold you over..

viciousknid 04-30-2009 09:30 PM

With my mods in sig my injectors are like 94% i believe.

Well i have a bit done internal and every bolt on on possible and will be sprayin in a couple weeks. Its a 5.3 bored to ls1 flat top pistons, cam 588 lift, heads port polished and milled 1000 to compression around 10, of course springs dual patriots, stock crank, intake stock but throttle body polished and shaved smooth, and some tricks cant tell everything gotta keep a few secrets......

sonoma43 04-30-2009 09:39 PM

just guessing but im thinking you need bigger injectors....the stock 24lb/hr are not cutting it.

Mangled03gmc 04-30-2009 09:44 PM

Bullshit there are no secrets here, spit them out or face http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o.../banhammer.gif
